Iquitos. The Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous - CEDIA made the official delivery of a 40hp Yamaha engine to the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State - SERNANP, which will be allocated to the Matsés National Reserve, in order to contribute to the improvement of the system of control and surveillance of this protected natural area.
The event was chaired by the executive director of CEDIA, Lelis Rivera and Carola Carpio, head of the Matsés-SERNANP National Reserve. The delivery was made through the signing of a certificate, on February 4, in the facilities of the North Regional CEDIA office, located in the city of Iquitos.

It should be noted that the actions with SERNANP, to strengthen the Matsés National Reserve, are part of a strategic alliance with CEDIA more than 10 years ago. This is also developed within the framework of the project “Building durable conservation areas and strengthening governance in the Yavarí-Samiria Mosaic, Loreto, Peru”, funded by Moore.
