Iquitos. On Friday, February 22, 2019, the signing of the addendum to the Inter-Institutional Cooperation Framework Agreement between the Regional Production Directorate - DIREPRO of the Regional Government of Loreto and the Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous - CEDIA was celebrated, with the purpose of continue contributing to the sustainability of fishing activity in the provinces of Requena, Maynas, Putumayo and Ucayali, in the Loreto region.
The signing was carried out at the DIREPRO facilities and was signed by Clara Mercedes Chuquimbalqui Nájar, regional director, and Lelis Rivera Chávez, executive director of CEDIA.
These actions to improve fishing activity have been working with the riverine native and peasant communities located in the districts of Soplín Curinga, Santa Elena, Iberia, Alto Tapiche, Tapiche, Requena, Jenaro Herrera, Yaquerana and Saquena in the Requena province; in Torres Causana, Maynas province, in Teniente Manuel Clavero in Putumayo province; and in the districts of Pampa Hermosa and Vargas Guerra, in the province of Ucayali.
