February 9, 2018.- Yesterday and today the "Induction Workshop for the 2018 Master Plan update processes" is being held in the auditorium of the Regional Environmental Authority (ARA) of the Regional Government of Loreto, in the city from Iquitos. This event has been organized by the Directorate of Strategic Development of the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State (SERNANP).
The Headquarters of the Natural Protected Areas (ANP) are participating whose Master Plan is in the process of updating -case of the Alto Mayo Protection Forest- or they are just preparing it -as in the case of the Yaguas National Park and the Airo Pai- Communal Reserve. . Also present were representatives of the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo, Ampiyacu Apayacu and Maijuna Kichwa Regional Conservation Areas, representatives of the RC Airo Pai ECA, cooperating Non-Governmental Organizations, Indigenous Organizations and representatives of the existing Management Committees.
The Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous (CEDIA) is participating as a cooperator of RC Airo Pai; In other words, it provides financial and technical support to the process of updating your Master Plan.
This type of workshops is part of a series of trainings carried out by SERNANP within the framework of the accompaniment of Headquarters of different ANPs and that contribute to making the preparation or updating of the Master Plans more effective. These documents define how the area will be managed in the coming years, what its objectives are and how they will be met.
