Iquitos. With the aim of streamlining the processes for the establishment of regional conservation areas (ACR) of Loreto, the Regional Environmental Authority (ARA) met with cooperating entities such as the Instituto del Bien Común (IBC), the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law (SPDA) and the Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous (CEDIA) to socialize the progress made in the processes and give continuity to the proposals of the ACR Aguas Calientes Maquia, Tapiche Blanco, Medio Putumayo Algodón and Ere Campuya.
This meeting, held on September 4, is the second working day that seeks to achieve the establishment of these proposals for natural areas. These RTAs are initiatives promoted by the applicant communities that seek the conservation of their natural resources and sustainable use.
Likewise, coordination space is being managed at a multisectoral level with the governing bodies involved, such as the National Service of Protected Natural Areas (SERNANP), the Ministry of Culture (MINCUL) and the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM).
