Iquitos. The Dos Fronteras Native Community, located in the upper basin of the Napo River, in the province of Maynas, Loreto; has been implementing the activities prioritized in its Life Plan. One of them is related to the proper use and management of natural resources, in order to ensure natural resources for future generations, both at the community and regional level.
Thus, Dos Fronteras, participated in the training workshop on techniques for the use of palm fruits, on September 2 of the present. This was carried out thanks to the efforts of the head of the community, Humberto Jarama Bosmediano; as well as the District Municipality of Torres Causana and the Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous (CEDIA); who were in charge of all the protocol and logistics for the displacement of the community members to the city of Iquitos. The company Recursos Amazónicos Frutales SAC (RAFSAC) was responsible for providing the training.

It is important to highlight that despite the context; these initiatives that seek the care and protection of natural resources are achieved, even more so, when they are promoted by the communities themselves who recognize that the conservation of the environment is crucial for their survival.
Note
The Native Community wants to extend a special thanks to the company Amazon Fruit Resources SAC (RAFSAC) for the time dedicated and the important donation of 2 teams of Maquisapa climbers and 1 hand saw; those that will contribute to improve the management of their communal resources.
