Iquitos. During the first days of July of this year, a series of workshops were held jointly with the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State (SERNANP) and the Executor of the Administration Contract - ECA SIEKO PAI, these decentralized meetings served to elaborate the first part of the Airo Pai Communal Reserve Master Plan.
For this purpose, 4 meetings were held. The first two were held at IE N ° 601060 - Bellavista, of the San Martín de Porres Native Community, on July 1 and 2, where representatives of the Secoya Indigenous Organization of Peru - OISPE and 3 native communities (San Martín de Porres, Mashunta and Zambelín de Yaricaya).
The following meetings were held in the Auditorium of the Torres Causa District Municipality, in the Cabo Pantoja town center, on July 9 and 10; and had the participation of 4 native communities (CN Vencedor, CN Puerto Estrella, CN Dos Fronteras, CN Segundo San Juan), 3 management organizations (OSPA Los Pioneros del Aguarico, APA Los Delfines and OSPA Dos Fronteras), National Police of the Peru - PNP and the Special Project for the Comprehensive Development of the Putumayo River Basin of Peru - PEDICPE.
The result of these meetings was the construction of the vision of the Airo Pai Communal Reserve (2018 - 2038), the elaboration of the objectives and strategies of the Airo Pai Communal Reserve Master Plan (2018 - 2023). It should be noted that the workshops were held in Spanish and the Secoya native language, meeting the request of the population.

The Master Plan is a management tool for protected natural areas and is considered a high-level planning document that guides the development of participatory management.
