A mixed technical team made up of representatives of the Directorate of Infrastructure and Sanitation of Agrarian Property of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Cusco (DRAC), the Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous (CEDIA), and the Machiguenga Council of the Urubamba River ( COMARU) and the Apurímac River Asháninka Organization (OARA) met between September 15 and 17, 2017 to collect the necessary information in order to manage the official recognition of two native communities. This is at the request of the members of the Alto Paquishiari and Kepitoshi Native Communities, within the framework of the Agreement signed between CEDIA and DRA Cusco.
After a period of preparation of the corresponding technical-legal reports, the two native communities were finally recognized. One of them is the Alto Paquishiari Native Community with Directorial Resolution No. 0580-2017-GR CUSCO / DRAC dated November 30, 2017, located in the district of Echarati, province of La Convencion, and the Kepitoshi Native Community with Directorial Resolution N ° 0577-2017-GR CUSCO / DRAC dated November 30, 2017, located in the district of Kimbiri, province of La Convencion.
Recently, the Alto Paquishiari Native Community has been registered in the Registration No. 11036623 in the Registry of Legal Persons of the Quillabamba Registry Office and the Kepitoshi Native Community, currently, continues its Registry Registration process in the SUNARP Ayacucho.
