Today in the morning an informative and coordination meeting was held between representatives of the Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous (CEDIA), of the Sectorial Directorate of Agriculture (DRSA) of Ucayali, of the National Superintendency of Public Registries - SUNARP, from the Ministry of Culture (MINCU) and the Table of Indigenous Peoples in Isolation and Initial Contact (PIACI) of Ucayali; in the offices of the Directorate of Legal Physical Sanitation of Agrarian Property - DISAFILPA of the DRSA Ucayali in the city of Pucallpa.
The objective of the meeting was to analyze the case of the Guapries Riparian Peasant Community that overlaps with the proposal for the Sierra del Divisor Occidental Indigenous Reserve. CEDIA suggested involving MINCU in the process of socializing said proposal; Furthermore, it was emphasized that the recognition and titling process of the CCCC Guapríes must continue. The DRSA Ucayali made the invitation official and the MINCU indicated that it will make the respective consultation to its Directorate of Isolated Indigenous Peoples and Initial Contact.
