Loreto. Last Thursday, September 13 of the present, the workshop on "Design of Strategies, Commitments and Conceptual Model of the Master Plan of the Airo Pai Communal Reserve" was held, an event organized by the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State ( SERNANP), through the Airo Pai Communal Reserve, which had the support of the Center for the Development of the Amazonian Indigenous (CEDIA).
The workshop was held at the facilities of the Reference Center for Soil Information of the Peruvian Amazon (CRISAP), in the province of Maynas, Loreto; where representatives of local municipalities such as the Teniente Manuel Clavero District Municipality and the Torres Causana District Municipality participated, as well as the Peruvian Amazon Research Institute (IIAP), Special Binational Comprehensive Development Project of the Putumayo River Basin (PEDICP), Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade, Tourism and Crafts (DIRCETURA), National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP) and the Peruvian Army.
The objective of this workshop was to continue with the process of preparing the Airo Pai Communal Reserve Master Plan, which is a management tool for Protected Natural Areas, considered as the highest level planning document that guides the development of the participatory management.
This event is part of a series of activities that have been working with communities and representatives of public, private and other institutions, which are related to the management of this Protected Natural Area (ANP).
The next events will take place in the towns of the Putumayo River and Napo River basins, in September and October 2018.
